Traditional Vietnamese Papaya Salad calls for beef jerky. So, it’s a no brainer that we replaced that with our Spicy (or Traditional!) Biltong for a pop of protein that adds no additional sugar without sacrificing flavor. Fresh, tangy and filled with umami flavors - you’re going to love this take on one of our favorite Asian sides.
1 package of Ayoba Spicy Biltong
handful of chopped basil
fried garlic or dried shrimp (optional)
2 cups light soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 teaspoons chili paste and/or chopped chilis
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped (about 2 teaspoons)
Grate or shred the papaya.
Toss together the salad ingredients.
Top with fried garlic or dried shrimp (optional).
