Biltong is a South African recipe beef snack with exceptional flavor and a uniquely tender texture. We start with the finest quality cuts of Grass-Fed Beef that are marinated and seasoned with only a few natural spices, then air-dried for up fourteen days! The result is a tender slice of beef with a naturally explosive flavor. The drying process also leaves more of the muscle fibers intact, meaning Ayoba Biltong has more protein than jerky!
Ayoba is a term used to express agreement & approval.
Unlike most store bought jerky, we do not add any nitrates, MSG, fillers, artificial flavors or artificial preservatives. Our Biltong is also Gluten Free!
Our unique drying process, using air flow instead of heat, leaves the beef naturally tender, so we do not need to use any sugary marinades or chemicals!
Crafting our Biltong with Grass Fed Beef means extra heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids in every bite! Add in the health benefits from apple cider vinegar (used in our curing process) & you have yourself a healthy snack!
The only sugar in this limited release flavor comes from the organic apple powder used in Chef AZ's recipe.

I like all the Ayoba biltong options, but the limited edition Cracked Green Peppercorn is a cut above.

I love the original and the special edition by Chef Andrew Zimmerman was delicious. My only complaint is the amount of sodium in the special edition version. Biltong is a bit addictive and if you are trying to watch your sodium intake the special edition from Chef AZ is not for you ( unless you have stellar self-control). I tried other brands after purchasing this one and in my humble opinion, don't waste your money. One brand was absolutely wretched and the others just taste like tender beef jerky.
