What is Biltong?

Biltong is a South African recipe beef snack with exceptional flavor and a uniquely tender texture. We start with the finest quality cuts of Grass-Fed Beef that are marinated and seasoned with only a few natural spices, then air-dried for up fourteen days! In it's uncut form, as seen here, our Biltong Slabs retain more moisture and is more tender than ever!

"This biltong is so tender and juicy that it actually surprised me."
- Michael S.

"Honestly fantastic. Big connoisseur of dried meats and this is easily top 3."
- Pete

Ayoba is a term used to express amazement & approval.

What Makes Our Biltong Different:

No Sugar & Zero Bad Stuff

Unlike most store bought jerky, we do not add ANY nitrates, MSG, fillers, artificial flavors or artificial preservatives and most importantly, NO SUGAR!

Air Dried for Up To 14 Days!

Our unique drying process, using air flow instead of heat, leaves the beef naturally tender, so we do not need to use any sugar or chemicals!

Protein Packed

Due to the unique drying process, Ayoba's Biltong contains 30% more protein than the leading beef jerky! (16g per ounce, wow!)

Keto, Paleo & Whole30!

Ayoba's Biltong remains highly distinguished as the only Biltong in the US that is Certified Quality!

FAQs

How do I store my Whole Biltong Slab?
If you are not able to devour it within a few hours, no worries, you can place the slab in the fridge in the original packaging to extend the shelf life, but refrigeration is not required. You can also store it on the kitchen counter, away from direct sunlight, and either without any packaging on a cutting board or plate, or in a brown paper bag. (note: slab will become drier the longer it sits & keeping the slab in it's original packaging on the counter might cause the slab to mold quicker.)
- +
How do I slice my Whole Biltong Slab?
By far the easiest way is to use one of our Premium Biltong Slicers. You can also use a sharp knife and a cutting board or plate. Hold your slab with one hand and slice to desired thickness like you would a loaf of bread. The thinner you slice, the more tender it'll be!

How are Whole Biltong Slabs eaten?
Biltong Slabs are fancy enough to slice and use as part of a classy charcuterie board or cheese platter, yet convenient enough to slice and eat as a snack while watching Netflix or Football.

What is the difference between your Whole Biltong Slab and your Sliced Biltong?
Our Biltong process starts by hand slicing premium cuts of Grass Fed Beef into slabs. The slabs are then marinated and hung to dry for up to fourteen days.
